How the Economic Fall Has Impacted Advertising & Marketing in the
Banking & Mortgage Industries

The current financial environment is as difficult as it ever has been. Clearly, the country is in a protracted recession that is proving to be of historic proportions. From boardrooms to living rooms, people across the country are asking the same questions:

  • What is the current state of the banking environment?
  • How did we get into this mess?
  • And, most importantly, how do we get out of it?

To help sift through the confusion and find the answers, Rick Gardner will share his insights about today's economy from a banking perspective. And, he will discuss how the economic fall has directly impacted advertising & marketing in the banking & mortgage industries.

Rick D. Gardner joined Superior Bank in January of 2005. Gardner began his career in public accounting, but has spent the last 18 years in the financial services sector, most recently, as President of Superior Financial Corp (Little Rock, Arkansas) and Superior Federal Bank. Prior to that, Gardner was the CFO and CEO of First Commercial Mortgage Company in Little Rock, Arkansas, the CFO of Metmor Financial in Kansas City, Missouri, and an accountant at Grant Thornton, a top-ten international accounting firm. A Certified Public Accountant, he received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma.
